5 Things You Need for the Perfect Summer Bar

In summer, we’re all about relaxed, effortless entertaining. One thing that can make all the difference? A stylish home bar that’s ready to party at a moment’s notice. Here’s everything you need to set up your own chic drinks station. Cheers!

1. A Fabulous (and Versatile) Bar Cart
Hosting is that much easier when all your barware is in one place. With room for drinks, glassware, cocktail napkins, and accessories, a bar cart is your entertaining command central—and with so many styles and sizes available, you’re sure to find one that suits your space. If you love to entertain outdoors, consider a bar cart on wheels, which can easily be moved to your porch or patio.

After the party, your bar cart can tuck away into any small nook. Or make it a decorative focal point: Just swap out glassware and garnishes for books and accents.

2. A Stylish Beverage Dispenser

In other words, your key to actually enjoying your own party. Simply mix up a batch of your favorite refresher (we love a good lemonade or a fruit infused water) and let guests top up their glasses as they please. It’s totally hands-off—and makes for a showstopping display.

3. Party-Ready Glassware

There’s always a place for the basics, but a little embellishment will make your bar setup feel extra special. Look for our glassware with exclusive detailing and style, they’re sure to garner oohs and aahs from guests.
It’s also smart to have a variety of shapes on hand for different types of drinks—think highballs, old-fashioned glasses, and shot glasses for measuring.

4. The Right Tools

Embrace your inner mixologist: With the right tools on hand, you can craft a whole array of flavorful summer cocktails. Stock your bar with the essentials, including a jigger, a shaker, a strainer, and a stirrer. As for your bottle opener and corkscrew, why not upgrade to a playful shape or a fun, luxe material? After the party, corral all your tools in a stylish cup or a tray.

5. Plenty of Ice—and a Chic Ice Bucket!

Keeping ice right next to the rest of your ingredients makes it even easier for guests to fix their own drinks without you lifting a finger (no more runs to the kitchen!). It’s also a great excuse to snap up a chic ice bucket. Whether you opt for a punchy, graphic design or a sleek midcentury style, this is one bar accessory that’ll come in handy for all kinds of occasions.

6 ways to welcome Spring into your home!

After we muddled through what was a particularly bleak winter in some regions, finally being able to greet spring is a genuine pleasure. Here are 6 ways for welcoming spring into your home.

1. Enjoy blooming bulbs: Welcome spring by filling rooms with fresh flowers. Whether it's bouquets of freshly cut wild flowers or pretty potted plants, nothing says spring quite like the addition of beautiful blooms.

2. Organise a Tea-party: A fun, casual tea party is the perfect way to welcome the new season. After months of cold weather that has kept you confined to the house, it’s time for a light snack and catch-up with close friends.

3. Give your living space a quick color makeover. Leave the warmer, deeper hues of winter behind and embrace a light, spring-inspired palette. Remove heavy window coverings in favor of matchstick blinds or lightweight curtains. Paint the walls (or just one wall) pale aqua, spring green or crisp white and invest in a few new accessories in the same color family.

4. Let the fresh air in. After we’ve spent a winter hunkered down indoors with the heater on, the air inside our homes can get stale. On a nice early-spring morning, open up all of the windows in your house and let the fresh air flow in.

5. Pick up some spring branches. Spring blossoms are elegant and can be long lasting — up to a month. Treat your home to an armful. A tall, cylindrical glass container is a good bet for displaying your branches. If you want to use really tall branches, invest in an extra-large glass vessel that can sit on the floor.

6. Tune in the Turquoise: Turquoise is one of this season's coolest colours. A pretty accessory in this vibrant shade is guaranteed to add personality and panache to your home decor. The terrific turquoise finds will let you easily incorporate this cheery colour into your home decor.
